The opposite morning, I had espresso with my buddy Erika Veurink, who writes the e-newsletter Lengthy Dwell and runs a humorous Instagram. She was sporting a blue-and-white striped shirt over purple shorts with gold necklaces, and I liked all of it.
“An outsized striped shirt is a cheat code to wanting such as you walked out of a 1993 J.Crew catalog,” Erika advised me. As for styling, she says, “greater is best, all the time push up the sleeves just a little bit, and when doubtful undo one further button.” She made this helpful video for us:
Once I put on one, I do solely the center two buttons (so it’s barely open and just a little attractive), after which put on it over white shorts or observe shorts.
